In Fazenda Bananal's orchard we produce four varieties of oranges, three varieties of lemons and pokan, all without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. While the citrus trees are growing, we use the space between the trees to grow other types of food, such as cassava, corn, beans, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage, all in an effort to optimize land use and promote biodiversity on the farm.
