What we commonly refer to as “waste” is, in fact, food for life. In this hands-on activity, you’ll learn how food scraps are turned into natural fertilizer through composting, completing the nutrient cycle.

At Fazenda Bananal, even organic waste left by visitors is returned to the soil, enriching it and nourishing our agroforestry gardens, which produce fresh ingredients for the restaurant. This is a living demonstration of regenerative tourism, where every visitor becomes part of a cycle that begins and ends at the table, inspiring new ways to care for the planet.
